As for the events occurring near your town, you should expect a total of six events happening, each event happening at each milestone of x numbers of structures, 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 7th, and 9th structure. It is advisable to set a high render distance to observe these events.
-
One event will occur each evening, with the final event being the arrival of the tyrant. Defeating the tyrant (wither) in the overworld signifies The End of the early game stage.

-
As you progress with your fortress like early game, instead of being invaded, you’re the one attacking the Tyrant’s bases each evening of the day when they get revealed with a red outline. (it is advisable to have a high render distance setting).
-
Defeating the Tyrant in The Nether will grant you The End Invasion Plans. Talking to the Town Planner will enable you to get the recipe for an End Portal.

-
Once you come back to The End, prepare to confront the tyrant at the peak of his power. This event signals the conclusion of the mid-game.
Late Game
