Act VI: Seal of Ruin

The eight Cataclysm thrones: eyes, lairs, offerings and bosses.

"Every throne is a lock. Every lock has a key. I would very much like to know who has been collecting them." Veyra Ashe

The chapter is an eight-pointed star. Each point is one throne, and the finale waits below. These are the hardest fights in the pack.

Recommended: the Cataclysm's own gear wants Attack 35 to 40, Magic 28 to 38 and Defense 30 to 35. Come prepared.

How every lane works

  1. Craft the boss's Eye. It points to the lair.
  2. Find the lair (a real structure or advancement).
  3. Do what the lair demands (an offering, or a mini-boss). Two lanes need nothing.
  4. Slay the boss.

Every Eye can also be bought in the Vault (8 gold each).

Boss briefings

  • Netherite Monstrosity: respect close-range slams, and interrupt its chances to feed from lava.
  • Ignis: several phases. Surviving the arena is part of surviving Ignis.
  • Ender Guardian: brutal melee and shockwaves. Spacing beats absorbing every slam.
  • The Harbinger: count attack patterns and use the EMP windows.
  • Ancient Remnant: expect burrowing charges. Never stand directly in front of it.
  • The Leviathan: an arena-control fight in three dimensions. Sort out oxygen first.
  • Maledictus: watch for long-reaching spectral attacks. A totem is cheap insurance.
  • Scylla: click the giant Anchor to call her. The arena's edge is also a boss.

Tips

  • Do the Wither (Act V) first; the Harbinger needs a Nether Star.
  • Bring Feather Falling, mobility and strong sustain into the Ruined Citadel.
